The Project

SWAP is an Erasmus+ Sport project (2026-2027) that promotes sitting volleyball as a tool to improve physical health, social wellbeing, and inclusion for children and young people with physical and motor disabilities.

Bringing together sports organisations, healthcare professionals, researchers, rehabilitation specialists, and educators from across Europe, the project wants to make sitting volleyball more accessible to children and young people from an early age.

Sitting volleyball is an adapted form of volleyball that enables people with physical and motor disabilities to participate in sport in a safe, accessible, and inclusive environment.

Its flexibility allows children and young people with different functional abilities to participate together, making it a powerful tool for inclusion and equality.
